By Nathaniel Rhine
How many times have you walked down the street in either a residential area or even an urban area for that matter and found that you’ve just stepped into a pile of dog leftovers? You didn’t even see it coming as it were. All of a sudden you feel as though you are about to slip. You then look down to realize that you have just landed in some dog mess.
I say, clean up your mess. Well, it may not be your mess, hopefully not, but it is considered your mess if your dog was the suspect, who planted the fertilizer on the road or sidewalk.
As a responsible American Pit Bull Terrier owner, or any breed of dog for that matter, please be responsible and make sure you are not giving your dog a bad name. As an American Pit Bull Terrier owner, you are bound to be scrutinized by any and every thing you do with respect to your dog. Simply by owning an American Pit Bull Terrier, you will or will soon become the talk of the neighbour. That is not really a bad thing, keep in mind.
Let people talk good things about you and your American Pit Bull Terrier. Good things such as, your dog is always on its leash when you walk him, your dog is licensed and the list goes on. The greatest thing that neighbors may say about you and your American Pit Bull Terrier, is that the both of you leave a clean trail behind.
If you are not doing so, I strongly encourage you today to wear a small waist pouch and fill it with old newspaper, a plastic bag, and rubber gloves, if need be, to pick up the fertilizer that your American Pit Bull Terrier so willingly wanted to give away freely to your neighbors. As soon as your American Pit Bull Terrier look like he is about to become “generous”, move to the side of the road or sidewalk and prepare yourself to collect his free offerings.
Believe it or not, you will always have an audience watching you whenever you are to walk your American Pit Bull Terrier. Since they are watching, give them something good to watch, other than the greatest looking dog on earth. I am not being bias; I am just speaking the truth. Show the neighbours, especially, those who are looking to find fault with you owning an American Pit Bull Terrier, that you are truly responsible.
